You should always make sure you lock up any equipment you leave at the jobsite… even your steamrollers. Apparently one was swiped from a site in Orange County California and later found abandoned. Hmmmm. I wonder why the thieves left it. Did it run out of steam? Anyway, before it was found it was implicated in the damage to a community mailbox and two piles of household furniture. I suppose if you have an old building and you want to get the tenants to leave you could just make it wobbly. According to this news report tenants were evacuated from an “unstable” building. The “floor braces were exposed in several apartments and there was excessive debris.” Apparently the owners had taken a permit that allowed them to remove plumbing and interior partitions and turned it into a full-scale demolition operation…with the tenants still in there.

This is one that just makes you go hmmmmmm. Police arrived at a construction site in Cape Coral, FL and several men fled on foot. The officers were responding to a call that said a car had parked near the site. At this point I just don’t know what to write so I’ll just close now.
