I’ve been wondering if we are becoming a little too social. Who has the time to follow 1,000 people on their chosen social media platform? What about those who don’t follow anyone but have huge numbers following them? Are we adding any value to the communication process? Or, are we just filling the bandwidth pipes with more information that we don’t have the time to consume?

As if we needed any more weather-related bad news apparently Punxsutawney Phil predicted we’re going to have more winter for about 6 more weeks.

News of questionable progress is no more evident than today in the Amazon rainforest where there has been an environmental license granted to construct a hydroelectric dam. There are of course calls of foul. It will be interesting to see how the builder who gets the job handles the environmental issues sure to be a large part of the project.

And now a long time after Britain left India some British firms are going back there to help India fix its complicated roadway problems. There are going to be more than 20 leading British firms involved in this venture.

Speaking of social media, I’ve got my opinions about it but perhaps only because I’ve been playing around with it. Here I highlight one of the people I’m following who pointed me to an interesting article about a high speed rail project. So, it does have some uses.
