For all of those who spend large portions of their days sifting through product specifications, manufacturers’ Web sites, and in-house cataloging tools there is a new kid in town determined to make their work easier and more productive. Called CSPECS, this Web-based effort is aiming to become the online resource for the specification channel. Manufacturers are of course taking notice as their wares are finding new avenues of exposure.
There are a lot of challenges faced by those in the spec channel, and it’s one area of the AEC industry that doesn’t get much attention paid to it. That very well may be changing and the seeds of change came out in a podcast I did recently with Kenneth Hall, the product development manager for CSPECS, Construction Specifications, Inc.
